Jesse Martin

Chairman

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander International Engagement Organisation

Jesse T Martin is Chairman of with the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander International Engagement Organisation (ATSIIEO) an organisation ensuring representation and pathways towards self-determination for Indigenous communities connecting with the international arena. This work sees progress towards targets across the climate change and adaption sphere, economic development, education pathways, cross cultural exchange and direct advocacy from Aboriginal and Torres Strait peoples to the international arena. He is also the founder of the Streets Movement Organisation (TSM) an Indigenous community development charity providing social impact and education pathways for Indigenous youth.

Mr Martins work has seen him work from local community driven approaches to social impact across Northern Australia through to work in the international arena with development and community partnerships creation around the world throughout the Asia-Pacific, Middle East, China, U.K, U.S, E.U, Africa, Central and South America including representation at the United Nations. He is a United Nations Fellow with the Office of the High Commission of Human Rights (OHCHR) as well as a published author with Columbia University and the U.N on Indigenous perspectives in economic, social and political development and impact. Mr Martins formal University education and background is with Politics, International Relations and History alongside community and cultural education through his respective Indigenous communities.

Mr Martin works within the economic development space utilising this as a driver for social and community impact with a number of climate impact initiatives through his work within ATSIIEO as well as establishing partnerships with international groups seeking to develop mutual opportunity in the Indigenous economy building space. Working in the pathways and opportunity sphere alongside university and corporate partners around the world he also assists in providing pathways for Indigenous youth to learn and engage with the international community. His work has been developed to provide opportunities to Indigenous peoples globally and in particular to regional and remote areas around the globe linking them with international networks, pathways and partners dedicated to a collective impact through utilisation of educational and economic development as a driver for creating positive social and environmental development outcomes.
